I agree, Anibal Vega Borges is such a loser, and yet he stay in power, forever. He stands out front almost every day so all the fools can watch him oversee his crony workers cut grass. How embarrassing, along with all the giant silly LOOK AT ME signs. He is the Big Brother of Levittown. You cannot even make up somebody like that in fiction, yet he is in charge in PR. There is not sense of history and education among the common people of this region: nobody reads! This hugely historical spot should have been protected long ago. I am guessing some of the local slaver families would just as soon forget all the evil and ill-gotten wealth represented by this ruin. Note: Bacardi's factory is a stone's throw away; with all their family's wealth and rum making history, they could have easily helped preserve this place, but...they are really Cubans and Cuba has it's own sugar-rum-slave dark history to hide. Go figure.
